Tom Kamber
Founder and Executive Director, Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP
Tom Kamber is the founder and executive director of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP, which he built from a single site in Brooklyn, NY, into a national organization partnering with more than 600 locations and serving over half a million participants annually. He is the architect of Senior Planet, the award-winning initiative advancing digital inclusion and community engagement for older adults through flagship centers in New York City, Miami, Denver, and national licensing partnerships.
In 2021, he led OATS through its successful affiliation with AARP, expanding its reach and impact nationwide. He has taught at Columbia University on technology, social entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, and his work has been published and presented internationally. He holds a BA from Columbia University and a PhD from the City University of New York.
